SPRING-FLOWER CROCHET/KNIT SLIPPERS

In Northern parts of the earth, winter can last for months. When finally the snow start melting, and the first wild-flowers peeks up from the cold ground, it’s spring!
What a feeling!
To take on “small-shoes”, as we called it a life-time ago, was like flying!
These crochet/knit slippers are a tribute to the best time of the year!
KNIT WITH YOUR HOOK!
Not Tapestry, not “normal” crochet.
I’ve tried to demystify crocheting with colors, without too much fuss!
This is a no-stress, no-hurry project!
Slow-down, relax, enjoy every stitch!

The pattern is created with the crocheted knit-stitch (Split single crochet)
Also called the Waistcoat Stitch
A regular sc, with hook inserted into the middle of the stitch.
Require a minimum of practice.

Happy spring slippers!

Skill level: Intermediate.
Not difficult, just different!

As I always do with cotton slippers, out-soles are joined to the bottom!
Note the pretty insoles with labels!

See the post about the DOOR-MAT SOLES, HERE!

Ready for street-wear!

These out-soles are invented in the moment I designed the slippers!

The DOOR-MAT SOLES!!

Protect your slippers against wear and tear, join out-soles to the bottom! And turn your slippers into shoes for street-wear!

Inventing this doormat method for out-soles, was the kind of experience:
WHY EVER DID I NOT THINK OF THIS BEFORE!
