Some easy, colorful needle-work makes the difference!
With matching hat of course!

And as always..soles attached as a final finish.
Making them warmer, sturdier and add protection for long lasting wear!
I've made a pattern-pack for the both patterns;
The basic sock-boots included the tailored crochet sole-method,
for any-size crochet-soles!

THE FAIR ISLE CROCHET HAT WITH BALLS, ALL SIZES FROM 2 YEARS - ADULT!

Matching hat for the Fair Isle cardigan!
Also with some embellishing Daisy flowers.

The colorful needle-work and the crochet balls make this simple hat special!
Like it?
Pattern includes the cardigan's full stitch-tutorial! The same sts are used for the hat.

My super-cute Sophie in new hat and cardigan!
Looking SO Norwegian!

After the overwhelming embroideries on the cardigan's cuffs and hem,
I made  only a few flowers scattered on the hat-front!
A very simple design!

CROCHET CARDIGAN FAIR ISLE STYLE FOR KIDS

Warm all year cardigan for boys and girls. A heirloom!
This crochet cardigan is inspired by the classic, Scandinavian stranded knitting-patterns.
Being Norwegian, I've learned to appreciate them as part of my cultural inheritance. I’m always looking for methods to achieve the style in crochet!

When this cardigan was finished, my husband made a
clever comment about "Dull colors for kids".
So this is a method to color up dull cardigans!
I have done some needle-work to the cuffs and hem-line.
The tiny flower-sts are called Lazy Daisy, and the blue
V-sts are a variation of the Herringbone stitch.
Full stitch tutorial included in the pattern.

Pretty!!
On the cuffs I covered all grey crochet-sts with flowers,
on the hem I made it easier, leaving one grey st between each flower.

Close-up. I'm very happy with the result of my efforts!
